    (Bockstoce 1958)  Enormous ultra-full rose form blooms are a unique satiny shade of brilliant red that will command attention in any garden and, for quite a while, too, since the blooms last a long time on the plant; height 32 to 36 inches, blooms late for a hybrid; slightly fragrant; rarely available.

    (Kelway 1928) This unusual Japanese type flower is bright carmine red and virtually iridescent in its intensity; red guard petals surround a center of thin, forked staminodes with a touch of white at the tips; very prolific bloomer and fragrant; blooms midseason to late.

    (Roy G. Klehm 2000) A lively color combination of raspberry, cream and pink petals that form a petite full bomb flower; three to four buds per each 28 to 30 inch stem; fragrant blooms in the mid late season; for a smaller garden or border it's a perfectly proportioned double bomb.  
  • (Reath 1984) Medium-size single is a rich blend of yellow, apricot and rose, a seedling of Marchioness; the plant, about 38 inches in height, blooms in the late midseason; choice and very limited; vigorous grower, reliable bloomer.

    (Daphnis 1977 ) One of the most dramatic tree peonies in our gardens; large deep velvety red semi-double with two rows of rounded petals surround a center of dark glossy black maroon flares; floriferous; 38" tall and a vigorous grower as well as reliable bloomer.

    (North Caucasian Mountian Region) This variety from Eastern Europe has reached 42 inches tall by 46 inches wide in our garden; the blooms are held high above the foliage and the heavy substance deep rose petals are spectacularly edged silvery white; a magnificent peony that commands attention and in full sun stands upright without staking; hefty roots field grown here 5 to 6 years; rarely available.

  • (Rivière 1924) Big lilac pink anemone blooms are nestled in a cup of wide guard petals;  etched with soft pink veining and edged with a silvery sheen; excellent cuts from a prolific bloomer; height to 35 inches.
