(Brand 1964) A very large plant with very large flowers up to 8 inches; one of the most striking Japanese types because of its strong rose pink color and commanding stature; plant height about 4 feet; the pink staminodes in the center are tipped with gold; often tufts of pink appear out of the center; excellent as a garden plant and awesome for a multitude of cut flowers.
